MWC Annual Forum
Reno, Kalgoolie, Hokitika yes it seems a bit far fetched but if you take the upside of speakers' presentations at the latest MWC Annual Forum in Hokitika on 2 July, one of the West Coast's centres could become a miners' household name'.
Just under seventy people from industry, consultants, contractors, regional government, training providers, employment agencies, infrastructure and local councils, and product and service providers attended the fifth Annual Minerals West Coast Forum on a blustery and wild West Coast day.

The West Coast Welcome
This is an initiative by the Minerals West Coast Trust to provide a service to Trust employees and employers, particularly those new to the region and industry, by offering preferential access to discounted goods and services from partner retailers and providers.
Home appliances and furnishings are currently available at a discount rate.
In time home finance and banking, real estate, insurance, fuel and power may all be available through the scheme. For employees and employers, that means newcomers will be able to organise and initiate the transition before arriving, thereby easing the settling in process.
The region and employers will also benefit from the positive attitudes that arise from the retail community valuing the industry arrivals by offering service and preferential purchasing rights.
